Citi is looking to solve complex financial problems facing their trading businesses and clients through innovative quantitative solutions and analytics.

Requirements

  • Excellent mathematical skills, specifically as it relates to Data Analysis and Statistical Modeling
  • Excellent programming skills in C++, Python or Java
  • Experience designing, developing, and implementing artificial intelligence models and machine learning algorithms
  • Knowledge of derivatives modeling to algorithmic execution
  • Familiarity with traditional financial engineering principles and the latest machine learning and data science techniques
  • Ability to work with large datasets and perform data analysis
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++

Responsibilities

  • Building innovative solutions to the most complex financial problems facing trading businesses and clients
  • Designing and developing quantitative solutions and analytics to support diverse investment and transaction strategies across Markets
  • Working on a quantitative modeling desk and assigned a summer project to highlight the importance of quantitative methods
  • Shadowing multiple quantitative trading and structuring desks throughout the summer
  • Participating in a business-wide Data Science competition
  • Presenting results to senior leadership at the conclusion of the Summer Program
  • Learning from professionals as they make markets for institutional client base while actively monitoring and hedging their risk

Other

  • Obtaining a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (graduating in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027) and majoring in Quantitative Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, and/or a closely related field
  • Maintaining a GPA of 3.3 or above
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in the New York office
  • Enthusiasm, quick-thinking, and ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously
