Requirements
- Knowledge of disability laws and accommodation processes in higher education
- Experience in assistive technology and accessibility tools
- Familiarity with FERPA and ADA/Section 504 regulations
Responsibilities
- Assist in intake meetings with students to discuss accommodation needs
- Support the implementation and monitoring of academic accommodations
- Provide one-on-one support to students (e.g., coaching, study strategies, self-advocacy skill-building)
- Assist with case management tasks, such as documentation review and follow-up communication
- Conduct outreach to students regarding DSS resources and services
- Support students in using assistive technology and campus learning tools
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with FERPA and ADA/Section 504
Other
- Currently enrolled in a master’s program in counseling, social work, psychology, higher education, rehabilitation counseling, or a related field
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
- Interest in supporting diverse student populations, including students with disabilities
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and student-centered service
