Charter Steel is looking to solve business and technical problems in the Special Bar Quality (SBQ) Plant through the hiring of a Materials Engineer Intern
Requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Enrollment in a four-year degree program in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
Responsibilities
- Participate in Continuous Improvement projects
- Assist in other projects and function as a resource for other team members
- Participate in the fundamentals of product design and development including testing using a variety of tools and equipment
- Document and improve processes
- Follow Environmental, Quality and Safety Management System procedures and requirements
Other
- Enrollment in a four-year degree program with current status of at least a Sophomore level
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Ability to succeed in a team environment
- Ability to handle multiple tasks
