Charter Steel is looking to solve business and technical problems through the hiring of a Materials Engineer Intern to contribute to meaningful projects and drive company goals.
Requirements
Enrollment in a four-year degree program in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field with current status of at least a Sophomore level
Proficient in Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Experience with Auto CAD and Pro-E (Preferred)
Ability to handle multiple tasks
Ability to succeed in a team environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
Responsibilities
Participate in Continuous Improvement projects
Assist in other projects and function as a resource for other team members
Participate in the fundamentals of product design and development including testing using a variety of tools and equipment
Refine slag analysis and standardization
Document and improve processes
Follow Environmental, Quality and Safety Management System procedures and requirements
Ability to meet the essential job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation, as outlined in the job description
