The College of the Liberal Arts, Department of Political Science at Penn State is seeking a part-time McManus Historical Events Coding Research Assistant to work with Professor Roseanne McManus on a research project.
Requirements
- Ability to read news reports
- Ability to do internet research
- Ability to record data on historical events
- Ability to follow a codebook provided
Responsibilities
- Work with Professor Roseanne McManus with research project duties to include reading news reports, doing internet research, and recording data on historical events, following a codebook provided.
Other
- Successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies
- Availability to work about 15 hours/week
- Must be able to work in the spring semester with the possibility to continue in the summer
- Must be willing to complete the application process for external applicants if not a current employee or student
