Corning's Environmental Technologies segment needs to analyze and interpret data from measurement systems, troubleshoot issues, and design/implement new measurement systems for the manufacturing of glass and ceramics. This involves developing and refining software algorithms for these measurement technologies to ensure accuracy, reliability, and adherence to quality standards.
Requirements
- Develop and refine software programs essential for system functionality and performance.
- Knowledge or ability to learn motion controls software and ladder logic.
- Knowledge of measurement system hardware technology
- Previous experience using problem-solving methodologies such as process capability analysis, statistical process control methods, model development, Six Sigma DMAIC, Lean, DOE, MSAs, PQA and the Scientific Method.
Responsibilities
- Analyzing and interpreting data from measurement systems to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Troubleshooting and implementing solutions for any issues or faults with measurement systems.
- Document technical processes, system requirements, and project progress for internal stakeholders.
- Design and Implement measurement systems for inspection, guidance, and identification in the manufacturing process of glass and ceramics.
- Develop and refine software algorithms utilized in measurements technology.
- Contribute to engineering projects focused on developing computer vision measurement systems incorporating machine learning and AI technologies.
- Develop, design and execute Measurement Systems Analysis, and ongoing measurement monitoring and control strategies to ensure systems continually operate within quality systems requirements
Other
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or a related field.
- Able to work Monday-Friday 8am-5pm will include (Weekends, off hours, Holidays) to support 24/7 Facility
