Boeing Global Services Commercial Modifications Structures Team needs a leader with broad knowledge of Boeing design, stress analysis, certification, and engineering principles to provide structural design and stress support for post-production modifications across multiple product lines and Boeing commercial models, ensuring growth, on-time delivery, and technical excellence for customers including commercial airlines, military organizations, and TCA partners.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience leading an engineering team
  • 1+ years of experience with Retrofit, Repairs, Modifications & Maintenance
  • 3+ years of experience with Retrofit, Repairs, Modifications & Maintenance
  • Experience with Project Planning, Scheduling, Project Management or related experience
  • Experience leading / collaborating across geographically dispersed teams
  • Experience working with Airworthiness regulators
  • Experience working with Supplemental Type Certificates

Responsibilities

  • Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Mechanical & Structural Engineering.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.
  • Coordinates adeptly with other internal and external Engineering teams.
  • Masters knowledge of Boeing's organizations, processes, program plans, policies and procedures, and products required to effectively perform functional responsibilities of the occupation.

Other

  • Fosters positive relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences).
  • Experience supporting both internal and external customers
  • Experience training and/or mentoring in a technical environment
  • U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.
