GE Aerospace is developing breakthrough technologies for the future of military propulsion, continuing its long history of engineering excellence. The Next Generation Products (NGP) organization is responsible for the design, analysis, integration, and support of future military engine products. The NGP Design Engineer will own the design, development, and qualification of advanced military products, specifically hot structural components.
Requirements
- Experience with finite element analysis software such as ANSYS
- Experience with 3D modelling software such as NX Unigraphics
- Experience with structural component design and analysis
Responsibilities
- Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned components and projects components for advanced military products using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
- Leverage prior mechanical design experience and broaden knowledge of one's own technical discipline to meet product deliverables within schedule and budget constraints
- Demonstrate systems-thinking mentality to understand how work of one's team integrates with others to achieve product requirements
- Exhibit autonomy to make decisions within a defined requirements framework while resolving design challenges in situations which require technical knowledge and judgment
- Review designs and consult with senior technical leaders for evaluation of work
- Executing technical design tasks including analysis and manufacturing support of assigned hardware in addition to program management of hardware cost, weight, and schedule deliverables.

- This role requires the successful candidate to maintain a US Government Security Clearance; prerequisite for a security clearance is U.S. Citizenship.
- Preference will be given to candidates who currently hold US Government Security Clearance

- Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve technical challenges with sound reasoning, project planning, execution, and documentation
- This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
