Nidec is looking to solve the problem of developing new motor technologies, including acoustic and vibration tests, electrical tests, and mechanical tests, to create a better society.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and basic electrical circuit theory.
- Preferred but not required to have knowledge of acoustics, digital signal processing, Fourier Analysis, or modal analysis.
- Basic experience with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required.
- MATLAB or ANSYS (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Assist various engineers in testing of electric motors, including acoustic and vibration tests, electrical tests, and mechanical tests.
- Prepare motors, motor applications, test fixtures, and sensors for testing.
- Troubleshoot motor test-related issues, disassembly of parts for modifications, re-assembly of parts.
- Design and modification of test fixtures.
- Prepare and ship parts to customers or intra-company.
- Basic coding: data analysis, manipulation, and post-processing.
- Report writing, graphing of data, and interpreting results for engineer’s review.
