Keysight Technologies is looking to solve the problem of designing and testing the industry's best performing RF and Microwave test equipment for NextGen Wireless/6G products

Requirements

  • Strong experience with Siemens NX CAD (or related 3D programs) is required
  • Internship, Project Experience or classwork in thermal analysis with an understanding of heat transfer is required
  • Project Experience or classwork with iterative design, manufacture, assembly, and mechanical systems is preferred
  • Strong experience making mechanical drawings with a familiarity with GD&T and design for manufacturing (DFM) is preferred
  • Experience with mechanical engineering principles and practices
  • Knowledge of heat transfer and thermal analysis
  • Familiarity with design for manufacturing (DFM) and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)

Responsibilities

  • Role provides tangible, hands-on projects including design of mechanical parts and development of rapid prototypes
  • Design and test the industry's best performing RF and Microwave test equipment for NextGen Wireless/6G products
  • Work on system level mechanical architecture, sheet metal chassis, die cast parts, subassemblies, thermal analysis, and performing mechanical testing
  • Interface with cross functional teams including EE team, Customers and vendors
  • Contribute to the design and development of new NexGen products and technologies
  • Work on iterative design, manufacture, assembly, and mechanical systems
  • Make mechanical drawings with a familiarity with GD&T and design for manufacturing (DFM)

Other

  • Candidate must have completed all coursework of their Sophomore year towards BS in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field, with a projected graduation date in late 2026-Spring 2027
  • Candidates must possess strong GPA in their core ME classes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work with external vendors and suppliers
  • Self-starter able to think and act independently to translate general objectives into tangible results, with a record of delivering successful results on schedule
  • Proven ability to work well in both team and solo environments with people at all levels
