Requirements
- Background in robotics or medical capital equipment.
- Knowledge and experience with AMSE Y14.5-2009 Dimensioning and Tolerancing application and best practices.
- 3+ years relevant experience designing and building mechanisms and assemblies.
- Ability to perform basic FEA other analyses focused on mechanical strength, heat generation and dynamic performance.
- Experience designing for manufacturing and familiarity with manufacturing processes – e.g. machining, casting, stamping, forming, molding.
Responsibilities
- Define sub-assembly specifications and necessary functional limits.
- Design parts and assemblies in CAD and release in Document Control environment.
- Lead small teams of designers and engineers to accomplish larger project goals.
- Perform basic FEA other analyses focused on mechanical strength, heat generation and dynamic performance.
- Designing for manufacturing and familiarity with manufacturing processes – e.g. machining, casting, stamping, forming, molding.
Other
- Basic knowledge of working in an ISO and FDA regulated environment.
- Ability to learn from others as well as mentor and coach more junior team members.
- Good honest work ethic.
