Cooper Lighting Solutions, a business unit of Signify, is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new lighting products and support all technical aspects of their product portfolio. The role involves ensuring product reliability and safety through testing and validation, troubleshooting technical issues, and contributing to product development and maintenance.
Requirements
- Technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
- Experience working with electrical testing equipment including thermocouples, multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.
- Experience with wiring diagrams and schematics
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new lighting products and support all technical aspects of the products in our portfolio.
- Conduct mechanical and electrical testing to ensure product reliability and safety.
- Validate electrical components, such as drivers and sensors, to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Validate multiple components into a cohesive product design
- Own the laboratory testing environment to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise and during the course of product development and maintenance.

- A current student pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical, or related discipline
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship needs.
- This internship could lead to an at will full-time role in Signify.
