Requirements
- Proficiency in Mechanical CAD and Analysis software and other engineering tools
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices
- Experience with structural analysis and finite element analysis
- Ability to apply advanced engineering and analytical concepts and techniques to highly complex mechanical projects
- Ability to analyze and solve complex and challenging problems
- Broad breadth of knowledge in the field of Mechanical Engineering especially in the packaging of electronics, advanced thermal and structural concepts, etc.
- Demonstrated knowledge of design engineering processes
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and optimize mechanical enclosures for aerospace avionics / electronics
- Conduct analysis and simulations to ensure mechanical designs meet performance and safety requirements
- Develop and implement design standards and best practices
- Participate in design reviews
- Work on Engineering Change Notices (updating designs and drawings per redlined documentation)
- Utilize Creo Parametric Mechanical Computer Aided Design Tool to execute Mechanical Designs
- Utilize NX Mechanical Analysis Tools to execute advanced thermal and structural analyses of Mechanical Designs
Other
- Must graduate in December 2026 or within 1 year of internship
- Must continue enrollment in degree program upon completion of the internship
- Validated academic excellence (3.0 GPA and higher)
- Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S.
- Ability to effectively operate in a matrix organization
