Ellsworth Adhesives is seeking a Mechanical-Manufacturing Engineer Intern to assist with design projects, develop documentation, and improve manufacturing processes for their dispensing solutions.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing continuous improvement methodologies
- Ability to write and document manufacturing process, inspection, and testing procedures
- Basic knowledge of electronics components and electronic assemblies
- Certifications in SolidWorks (i.e. CSWA, CSWP, CSWE, CPPA, etc), preferred
- Engineering in Training (EIT), preferred
- Create/update 1-5 assembly and drawings per week in SolidWorks. Complexity of option drawings are from 5 to 50 parts in a single drawing.
Responsibilities
- Develops basic drawings and specifications for existing and new design projects.
- Assists with design of mechanical systems and/or machinery utilizing design and ERP software.
- Create, review and updates of basic documentation including drawings, models, bill of materials, quotes and engineering summaries utilizing CAD Systems and ERP software
- Prepares product documentation (i.e. manuals, work instructions, assembly instructions, data sheets, etc)
- Prepares Bills of Material (BOM) and parts list repositories
- Conducts assigned projects ensuring that work is completed within budgetary and time constraints while meeting customer and contractual demands
- Assess customer requirements, evaluate engineering design, and create complete drawing packages
Other
- Must be a degree-seeking undergraduate student at the University of Nevada, Reno during the Spring ‘25 semester
- Good problem solving and analytic skills (i.e., can conduct root cause analysis, make recommendations, and track results)
- Capability to communicate, coach, and train shop floor team members on processing information
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical personnel
- Must be available for 4-hour minimum shifts during operating hours (M-F: 7:30am to 5:30 pm)
