Daimler Truck North America is looking to solve the business problem of leading PVE’s VTI group in the area of thermodynamics, including vehicle cooling systems with current and future technology vehicles.
Requirements
- Experience with: Managing test plans;
- Experience with: Engineering processes and downstream impact;
- Experience with: Thermodynamics Systems;
- Experience with: Engine cooling systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 7 years of experience in Automotive testing.
- Must have experience with automotive testing and thermodynamics systems
Responsibilities
- Lead PVE’s VTI group in the area of thermodynamics including, but not limited to vehicle cooling systems with current and future technology vehicles.
- Direct our semi-annual Summer and Winter Tests each year.
- Lead role rotated within VTI.
- Support Cold Chamber and Climatic Wind Tunnel activities.
- Develop and plan test activities with close collaboration with Design Engineering and Powertrain colleagues.
- Analyze test results and undertake root cause analysis of shortcomings requiring corrective action, propose changes to improve component design and/or vehicle system performance.
- Provide timely written and verbal status reports to management as well as internal and external customers.
Other
- Domestic and international travel is required, as needed, up to 25%.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 7 years of experience in Automotive testing.
