Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking Mechanical and Structural Engineering Managers to support the Structures Engineering team and deliver safe, high-quality engineering solutions for production and development programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering.
- Engineering degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical/Aerospace, or Civil Engineer.
- 5+ years of experience in structural engineering.
- Experience collaborating with other engineering disciplines, production and/or regulatory organization.
- 1+ years of experience in leading a team, formally or informally.
- 5+ years of engineering experience.
- US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required
Responsibilities
- Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Mechanical & Structural Engineering.
- Leads development of engineering solutions for Structures teams (Airframe, Propulsion, Systems/Interiors/Liaison Stress or elsewhere within the Function) in support of current and future commercial airplane products.
- Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
- Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
- Manages, develops and motivates employees.
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
