Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers (MS&B) division is seeking a passionate, engaged, and qualified Mechanical & Structural Engineering Manager to support the Interiors & Payloads Capability. The candidate will lead a team with a principal goal of executing flawlessly in supporting BDS’s Interiors & Payloads capability development, including supporting programs from proposal stage through design maturity with a focus on driving improved productivity, developing innovative solutions, lowering cost, increasing quality, and developing employees.
Requirements
- 5+ years of engineering experience.
- 3+ years of experience leading or managing an engineering team.
- 8+ years of experience in Interiors or Payloads either commercial or military.
- 3+ years of experience Cost Account Manager (CAM).
- Experience using Boeing Non-Recurring Product Development (NRPD) or equivalent Boeing Development Processes.
- Experience using analytical, collaboration, communication and organizational skills.
- Master of Science in an engineering discipline.
Responsibilities
- Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in Structural Mechanical Design and Analysis.
- Executes engineering release plans using Boeing best practices of full kit and work in process approaches in both mechanical structural design and structures analysis.
- Coordinates with manufacturing engineering, systems engineering, and other stakeholder product teams daily to find integrated solutions.
- Responsible for developing, communicating, and meeting team First Time Quality, technical content, cost, and schedule priorities.
- Communicates cost and schedule progress to program leadership daily utilizing earned value management practices.

- This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
- The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
- Able to travel 10% of time.
- Active U.S. Top Secret Clearance.
- Bachelor of Science from an accredited course of study, in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, data science, mathematics, physics, chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
