CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) is looking for skilled and forward-thinking individuals to become Maintenance or Controls Technicians with their growing team as they work to service one of the world's largest online retailers. The Mechatronics and Robotics Apprenticeship program offers paid training in the Maintenance Technical field to prepare participants for these roles.
Requirements
- Ability to solve problems and carry out general instructions in standard situations such as; routine maintenance, repairs, preventative measures, emergency responses, coordination, and safety compliance.
- Proficiency using computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
- Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.
- Experience using powered or non-powered hand tools.
Responsibilities
- Solve electrical and mechanical issues related to all material handling equipment, including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more.
- Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment.
- Complete and properly document preventative maintenance routines.
- Track and store department inventory.
Other
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Ability to attend a 12-week in person paid training at a designated training provider.
- Ability to move up to 50lbs and physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs / ladders with or without reasonable accommodation.
