C&W Services is looking to solve the problem of maintaining and troubleshooting electronic, mechanical, computer, and control systems in a complex fulfillment/distribution center by hiring a Mechatronics & Robotics Apprentice.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project, with the ability to create and manage documents effectively.
- Experience in an electrical, mechanical, or controls field.
- Ability to work with electronic and physical technical documentation.
- Knowledge of mechatronic systems, subsystems, modules and components.
- Ability to learn PLCs and work with Automation Engineers.
- Ability to analyze technical specifications.
- Ability to create and manage documents effectively.
Responsibilities
- Follow work processes closely at school and on the shop floor to ensure a safe environment while job shadowing with technical advisor in On-the-Job Learning (OJL).
- Combine electronic, mechanical, computer, and control skills to perform scheduled, predictive, and preventive maintenance to detect and prevent problems.
- Install, repair, adjust, and test equipment and components to ensure that systems function properly.
- Work with electronic and physical technical documentation to maintain all material handling equipment (MHE) at the site.
- Analyze technical specifications of mechatronic systems, subsystems, modules and components.
- Learn PLCs and work with Automation Engineers in a laboratory environment.
- Communicate and work well within a team environment both in school and in OJL.
Other
- High school or equivalent diploma.
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must meet the minimum qualifying score on a Mechanical Aptitude Test
- Able to complete one year of On-the-Job Learning (OJL) at your home site as a Mechatronics & Robotics Apprentice (MRA) after the successful completion of the 12-week training program.
- Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts/areas.
