Amazon is looking to solve the problem of maintaining and improving its material handling equipment and base-building systems to ensure continuous and reliable operations.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience conducting quality predictive and preventative maintenance procedures
- 1+ years of blueprint and electrical schematic reading knowledge
- 1+ years of troubleshooting and diagnostics of material handling equipment (MHE) experience
- 1+ years of repairing material handling equipment (MHE), automated conveyor systems, or related mechanical/controls equipment experience
- Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- 1+ years of experience with PLC based controls systems
- 1+ year of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles
Responsibilities
- Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation using CMMS/APM and execute spare part changes when needed
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to material handling equipment to includes belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays and related systems
- Install, maintain and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment
- Develop skills and mentor junior technicians to grow in their roles
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks, repairing, maintaining material handling equipment and supporting base-building systems
- Maintain a positive working relationship with all RME and operation team members
- Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures and policies
Other
- High school or equivalent diploma
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Move up to 49lbs, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 10 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation
- 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
- Ability to promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures and policies
