Microsoft is seeking full-stack Product Engineers to build tools for data collection and model evaluation, contributing to the development of cutting-edge AI technologies.
Requirements
- 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to TypeScript, Python, C, C++, C-Sharp, Java
- 4+ years of experience in building and deploying web-based tools or applications.
- React JS experience is a must
- Next JS experience is a bonus
- 4+ years of experience with Next JS or other modern JavaScript frameworks.
- 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on building tools for data collection and/or model evaluation.
- Demonstrated understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement tools, end to end, using Typescript and Python to streamline data collection and facilitate model evaluation across AI projects.
- Leverage your expertise in JavaScript and its ecosystem, (React JS experience is a must, Next JS experience is a bonus), to develop robust and scalable features for internal tools that enhance the quality and efficiency of data and model evaluation.
- Build and optimize data pipelines (using Python) for collecting, processing, and analyzing large volumes of data used for training and evaluating AI models.

- Work closely with AI researchers, product managers, and engineers to define requirements, scope projects, and deliver high-impact solutions.

- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product management, AI research, and engineering.
- Familiarity with data science and machine learning concepts, especially as they relate to model evaluation and data collection.
