Mercury Marine is looking for a Software/Electrical Engineering Co-op to work on the design, production, and manufacturing of outboard and sterndrive motors for the recreational boating industry, with a focus on delivering superior results and transforming vision into reality.
Requirements
- Current enrollment in a BS program with a major in Electrical or Software Engineering
- Basic office skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Proficiency in Simulink and MatLab
- Experience with embedded software development
- Knowledge of control algorithms and analysis
- Familiarity with oscilloscopes and data capture and analysis
- Ability to write MatLab scripts for data analysis
Responsibilities
- Using Simulink and MatLab for control algorithm development and analysis.
- Testing embedded software on target controller and simulation board
- Updating documentation related to control software
- Testing embedded software on engines/boats.
- Assisting Control Software Engineers with user interfaces for ad hoc tests and displays.
- Interface with cross-functional teams within Mercury
- Consult with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to find solutions to problems.

- Current enrollment in a BS program
- Minimum second semester sophomore status with 48 completed credits
- Availability to work full-time (40 or more hours per week) through a full co-op term
- Good written and verbal communication skills
