Arconic is seeking a Metallurgical Engineering Intern to support Product Metallurgical Engineers with current projects and initiatives, participate in designated projects, and contribute to the day-to-day aspects of metallurgical work at the Lancaster, PA facility.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Metallurgical Engineering or Material Science with an expected graduation date of December 2026 or May 2027
- 3.0 GPA and above
- Prior work experience or previous internship
- Previous successful experience as an active member of a team
- Experience with Microsoft Office
Responsibilities
- Support Product Metallurgical Engineers with current projects and initiatives
- Attend all meetings with the Metallurgical & Quality Systems (MQS) team as well as Product Metallurgical Engineering mentor
- Participate in designated projects as well as day to day aspects of metallurgical work at the Lancaster, PA facility
Other
- Full-Time with a minimum 12-week assignment for the upcoming summer from mid-May to mid-August
- Must be involved in at least 1 extracurricular activity (school club, part-time employment, etc.)
- Aptitude for problem-solving
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment
- Willingness to take initiative to understand the business
