Landis+Gyr is looking to solve the problem of seamlessly integrating customer requirements with engineering and manufacturing processes by ensuring efficient and accurate product configurations within their SAP Variant Configuration system, while also providing expert technical support for their smart metering solutions.
Requirements
- Microsoft office. Experienced user of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) & MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems preferably SAP.
- At least 3 years of SAP-related experience in Variant Configuration (other ERP experience may be considered).
- Technical Skills: Understanding of SAP ERP and PLM systems and variant configuration
- Familiarity with smart metering technologies and systems is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Technically supports Landis+Gyr's portfolio of meter and network products, assisting in troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Assist in maintenance of variant configurator content in SAP, ensuring that all customer requirements are met in relation to product configuration rules established by Engineering and Manufacturing.
- Work closely with engineering, product management, manufacturing, and customers to align product configurations with both business requirements and technological advancements for SAP Variant Configurator.
- Provide user-level support and training for both SAP VC and smart metering customization tools, ensuring smooth adoption and utilization across teams.
- Develop understanding of product strengths and weaknesses as they pertain to market requirements
- Develop and deliver technical sales presentations to prospective and/or existing customers
- Provide technical expertise and information to customers and prospects on system configurations, usage,operation, and features.

- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently on assigned projects with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Required Minimum Level of Education: Bachelors Degree In Engineering or similar field
- Required Minimum Years of Experience: 3 years of experience in relevant role and successful performance in a customer service or technical support related position in an electronic technology related field including independent travel and customer contact
- Experience with utility operations. AMR operations is a plus
- Exceptional communication skills for coordinating across technical and non-technical teams, translating complex requirements into actionable solutions.
- Expected to travel up to 75%
