Apple Maps Evaluation team is looking for an experienced data engineer to join our Data Science Data Insights team to support Apple Maps wide metrics that provide a holistic view of Apple Maps product quality.
Requirements
- 2+ years doing quantitative data analysis.
- 2+ years SQL experience
- 2+ years of experience in object-oriented programming in Python. Will consider significant experience in a different object-oriented language (e.g. Java, Scala)
- Experience using git for version control
- Experience in designing analytic solutions to open-ended problems
- Prior industry experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Prior industry experience with Big Data using technologies like Hadoop, Hive, and Spark
Responsibilities
- build data products and tools to support collaborative decision-making with our partner teams in data science, engineering, and product management.
- develop analysis around product metrics data, and ensure the data meets high quality standards.
- work closely with Maps Client, Engineering and Data Platform teams to find opportunities for improving data collection.
- build relationships across Maps data ecosystem to understand end-to-end processes and how Maps information moves from device to data repositories and dashboards.
