At Boeing, the business problem is to ensure that manufacturing processes, research & technology, and test & evaluation activities are repeatable and reproducible through the science of measurement, known as metrology, which establishes an unbroken chain of traceability for the measurement & test equipment (M&TE) on the factory floor or in the lab.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- Proficient utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite
- Hands-on experience with Direct Current and Low Frequency (DC/LF) measurement, testing, and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of Radio Frequency and Microwave (RF/Mu) systems, components, and test equipment
- Foundational understanding in the fundamentals of electronics and/or electrical engineering
- Experience with Metrology
- Quality and/or Lab Management experience
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of metrology engineers, technicians, and test asset management focal(s) as part of Metrology and Test Equipment Services (MATES)
- Establish rapport with, and serve as primary point of contact for key business partners
- Provide lab oversight and approval of technical approach
- Respond to production and customer related issues
- Lead initiatives to influence cross-functional improvements
- Actively manage lab operations using established Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery metrics
- Conduct routine assessment of operational area compliance with command media

- 3+ years of experience managing projects
- 3+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal role
- Experience building strong business partner relationships
- Willing to travel domestically as needed
- Capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 35 pounds
