Grainger is looking for a dynamic leader to help lead various engineering and architecture governance and community activities, focusing on community-building and managing core technical governance functions.
Requirements
- Experience with office productivity software like Confluence, Slack, and Microsoft Office
- Experience with software engineering work-tracking tools like Jira
- Any software engineering or development skills (fluency with software engineering concepts)
- Any software architecture skills or background (fluency with software architecture patterns)
Responsibilities
- Administer and run Grainger’s architecture governance program, including agendas, facilitation, action items, and follow-ups
- Facilitate technical community events like Technical Book Clubs and Lunch and Learns
- Help run architecture and engineering team-level initiatives
- Help with org-wide community activities like Ignite Week and Hack-a-thons
- Help with special projects at a team or department level
Other
- 2+ years administrative or project-management work, preferably in technology-related department
- Ability to stay organized and drive results
- Ability to write and note-take, especially for technical topics
- Good communication and facilitation skills
- Community-building or community-organizing
