The National Security Sector at Leidos is looking to solve the problem of supporting a dynamic national security customer in Springfield, Virginia with cartographic analysis.
Requirements
- Experience in geography, cartography and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) which includes skill in ArcGIS applications
- Experience in creating shapefiles, geo-databases, and features
- Knowledge of digital cartography, image processing, geographical information systems (GIS), geospatial production techniques and NGA digital data formats
- Previous Nautical Maritime experience
- Ability to work with rasterized nautical charts, digital hydrographic survey data and ortho-rectified imagery
- Experience with data conversion and migration
- Knowledge of NGA digital data formats
Responsibilities
- Electronic Nautical Chart Conversion, Production and Review
- Provide support to existing and developing mission areas
- Digital Nautical Chart and or Electronic Nautical Chart Conversion production by performing Cartographic and GIS analyst functions
- Extracting features from a variety of sources including but not necessarily limited to rasterized nautical charts, digital hydrographic survey data and ortho-rectified imagery
- Updating source and source catalogs and information
- Data Conversion/migration
- Analyze imagery and non-imagery source information for application to NGA hydrographic products and databases
Other
- Active TS/SCI with ability for Poly clearance
- A minimum of High School graduation and 5 years of experience (relevant military or full time geospatial professional experience)
- High School + 4 years + GPC level I and II, or relevant BS degree + 2 years’ experience
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate on projects
- Willingness to obtain a CI Polygraph
