Visual Soft, Inc is seeking qualified candidates for a Project with a Major Prime for a federal agency requiring a Mid-Level Database Developer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade databases supporting mission-critical applications within a classified environment.
Requirements
- strong hands-on experience in SQL development
- database design and administration (Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB)
- automation/scripting in an Agile/Scrum development setting
- Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripts

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain relational and NoSQL databases to support application and analytics workloads.
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and triggers for performance and reliability.
- Perform database administration (DBA) functions, including backup/recovery, tuning, patching, and replication.
- Automate database tasks using Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripts to improve deployment and monitoring processes.
- Support data migration and ETL processes between environments and systems (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Ensure database security, integrity, and compliance with DoD and government data standards.
- Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues, identify root causes, and implement long-term fixes.

- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
