Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) development division is seeking a high-performing Engineering Manager to lead a team with the principal goal of executing flawlessly, increasing the design center portfolio, driving improved productivity, developing innovative solutions, lowering costs, increasing quality, growing a knowledge-based product development system and developing employees.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role (i.e., manager, project manager, team lead, etc.).
  • Experience leading employees/teams involved in multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Knowledge of/experience with Design Center Operations.
  • Experience working with Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) programs.
  • Experience developing new products with challenging affordability targets.
  • Previous management experience.
  • Previous experience in leading, mentoring, and engaging individuals and teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage employees performing engineering and technical activities predominantly in the area of Engineering Multi-skilled workforce.
  • Develop and execute business plans, policies and procedures, and develop organizational and technical strategies.
  • Coordinate with the engineering capabilities to acquire resources, provide technical management of suppliers, and lead process improvements.
  • Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes.
  • Tasks include managing to a performance management baseline in the areas of structural design and analysis in a multidisciplinary team environment.
