Tyler Technologies is seeking a Mid-Level Java Software Engineer to support and maintain their Core Applications within the Property and Recording Division, which focuses on software and services for property assessment and taxation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Java Object-oriented design experience
  • 5+ years of SQL DDL & DML (SQL Server, Oracle, etc...) experience
  • Data structures and Unit testing (JUnit) experience
  • Experience w/ Agile/Scrum practices & ceremonies
  • Experience using Git
  • Experience with Gradle
  • Web development experience (Apache Tomcat, HTML, JavaScript, Angular)
  • Experience with Spring
  • AWS experience/certification
  • Experience with data modeling tools, web services, and/or service-oriented architecture is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new application programs from established specifications or documented requirements.
  • Maintain existing application programs by fixing bugs or clearing up operational deficiencies in both previously released software and software slated for future release.
  • Assure program, module, and system integrity through thorough testing and adherence to company standards and procedures.
  • Work through all software development life cycle phases, including research, design, analysis, requirements, implementation, test automation, and maintenance.
  • Utilize new technologies and tools to modify products and provide integration with applications developed internally and externally.
  • Prepare and modify program and system documentation.
  • Provide SME input on compliance of products to architectural standards and impacts on the IT environment

Other

  • This is a hybrid position which requires the candidate to be in Lakewood, CO or Plano, TX office at least 3 days per week.
