Tyto Athene is looking to pioneer and support the design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions at the DoD's tactical mission edge, fusing diverse, real-time sensor data streams in resource-constrained environments to empower warfighters and intelligence analysts with immediate, actionable insights.
Requirements
- Experience designing and developing high-quality, scalable, and secure web, enterprise, and edge applications
- Strong skills in back-end development using Node.js or Python
- Experience writing clean, maintainable, and testable code
- Experience building reusable components and libraries for future use
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, and Azure
- Strong python experience including using frameworks like React, Agular, Flask, Django, or FastAPI
- Experience with system architecture and system integration
Responsibilities
- Manage the complete software development process from conception to deployment
- Work with end-users in the field and in a lab environment to develop software that meets operational requirements
- Manage the end-to-end life cycle to produce software and applications in collaboration with mission ML engineers and domain subject matter experts
- Mature software from idea to prototype to fully operational product
Other
- 5+ years of experience or more
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or a related field
- Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance
- History of mentoring and teaching other team members, especially junior members
- Great understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices
