Peraton is looking for a Mid-Level QA Tester to ensure the quality and reliability of their user-facing web application, particularly in regression and web application testing.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of hands-on experience in a software quality assurance or testing role.
  • Demonstrated experience in web application testing, with a strong understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues.
  • Proven expertise in creating and executing regression testing suites to ensure existing functionalities remain stable after new code changes.
  • Proficiency with bug-tracking software such as Jira, Asana, or a similar tool.
  • Basic understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Exposure to automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) is a plus.
  • Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman).

Responsibilities

  • Execute Test Cases: Perform manual testing, including functional, usability, UI/UX, and comprehensive regression testing on our web application across various browsers and devices.
  • Develop Test Plans: Design, create, and maintain clear and concise test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements and user stories.
  • Identify and Report Defects: Accurately identify, document, and track bugs and inconsistencies in our bug-tracking system (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with the development and product teams to understand new features and ensure testing activities align with project timelines and release schedules.
  • Maintain Quality Standards: Contribute to the continuous improvement of our quality assurance processes and standards.
  • Execute regression testing suites to ensure existing functionalities remain stable after new code changes.
  • Utilize bug-tracking software such as Jira, Asana, or a similar tool.

  • A current Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and the ability to obtain a polygraph.
  • 4 years with AS/AA; 2 years with BS/BA; 6 years with no degree
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
