Boeing is seeking a Mid-Level Software Developer to join the Wire Information and Release System (WIRS) team to perform duties on production support work items and day-to-day assignments within the Electrical domain.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with Computing and Programming language like C-Sharp, C++, C, COBOL (read only), Visual Basic for Applications (MS-Access)
  • 5+ years of experience with Relational Databases such as SQL-Server, Oracle, Teradata
  • 5+ years of experience Windows, Linux (Oracle 8+ and Red Hat 6-7) Operating Systems
  • 5+ years of experience with Configuration Control Tools such as GIT, Visual Source Safe, Clear Case
  • 5+ years of experience with Documentation Tools such as Microsoft tools such as Word, Visio, and PowerPoint
  • Experience in DevOps/DevSecOps and CI/CD practices, methodologies and tooling
  • Experience in Azure DevOps (ADO) or Team Foundation Server (TFS), GitLab, GIT, IIS, Windows Server

Responsibilities

  • Perform the design, program, test, implementation, and documentation of large, complex computing applications
  • Perform day-to-day production support of a large, complex system to maintain service level commitments to Boeing airplane production systems
  • Write and compile complex code based on documented design or design application architecture that integrates application software and delivery subsystems for large, complex applications
  • Explore data anomalies and related problems, and repair as needed by constructing custom utilities and scripts
