Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Java and SQL (preferably PostgreSQL)
- Experience building and maintaining REST APIs and SOAP Web Services; familiarity with JSON and XML
- Familiarity with AWS GovCloud and EC2 Linux/UNIX environments
- Knowledge of JBoss application servers and related deployment/configuration
- Experience with additional programming languages or frameworks
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and security scanning tools
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based web applications.
- Build, document, and support REST APIs.
- Design and implement database schemas, stored procedures, and functions using PostgreSQL and PL/pgSQL.
- Ensure application performance, scalability, and reliability to meet stringent functional and performance requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and bottlenecks.
- Maintain high standards of code quality and participate in code reviews.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, tests, and deployments to AWS environments.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5–7 years of professional experience in software development
- Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs and move throughout the office
- Prolonged desk/computer work
