deciBel Research is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to join their team in Dahlgren, VA.
Requirements
- Knowledge of network architectures and protocols.
- Knowledgeable in Cyber Security in DoD environment with Security+ certification
- Experience with agile SW development methodologies
- Experience with Unix Fundamentals (Specifically IBM's AIX)
- Familiarity with Linux-based OS, particularly Red Hat or Fedora
- Programming skills to include FORTRAN 77, FORTRAN 90 and C
- Working knowledge of converged infrastructure and related technologies such as VMware, Networking, and Storage solutions
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze code scan results and provide way-ahead mitigation recommendations in support of software assurance efforts.
- Contribute to the development of new principles and concepts to enhance mission operations.
- Develop and evaluate interfaces between software components, operational performance requirements, and overall system design.
- Support critical operations during standard working hours.
Other
- Ability to attain and maintain DoD TS/SCI Security Clearance.
- Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 6+ years of related experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills and proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Meticulous organization of open software tasks.
- Active DoD Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
