Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Mid-Level Systems Engineering Manager to oversee Systems Engineering, Integration & Test (SEIT) activities for the Space Launch System (SLS) Exploration Upper Stage (EUS), which is pivotal in the United States' mission to return to the Moon and send astronauts to Mars.
Requirements
- 5+ years of engineering experience.
- 5+ years of work experience using systems engineering practices to plan and/or execute requirements verification.
- 3+ years of experience leading or managing cross-functional or cross-organizational teams within engineering and/or test.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a diverse team in SEIT activities for the EUS program.
- Create and implement systems engineering strategies and processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables.
- Oversee and approve technical approaches and products.
- Identify and mitigate risks and opportunities using established methodologies.
- Be a Control Account Manager (CAM) utilizing program management tools, including Earned Value Management System (EVMS), to track cost and schedule
- Utilize management tools to support project execution and track performance metrics.
Other
- The role will involve approximately 50% travel to the Michoud Assembly Facility (MAF) with responsibilities for product build and integration.
