4M Research, Inc. is seeking a Principal Missile Defense Engineer to design, analyze, and validate future architecture options for the Missile Defense System (MDS) by using Benchmark M&S Software and performing first-principles physics-based analysis.
Requirements
- Benchmark M&S Software proficiency
- MATLAB proficiency
- Prior experience with the Missile Defense System (MDS)
- Ability to reason from first principles
- Prior experience with the Missile Defense System (MDS), with an in-depth understanding of one or more of the following: missile defense radars, OPIR, battle managers, interceptors
Responsibilities
- Use Benchmark M&S Software to design, analyze, and validate future architecture options
- Perform first-principles physics-based analysis to quantify the likelihood and severity of Missile Defense System (MDS) capability gaps and forecast performance of potential mitigations
- Develop analysis tools in MATLAB
- Execute batches of MATLAB-based M&S runs in a high performance computing (HPC) environment and analyze the results
- Assess potential benefits and regrets of proposed solutions to capability gaps
- Present findings clearly in briefings and white papers.
