Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Missile Systems Software Engineer to oversee embedded software systems development for a Navy missile program
Requirements
- Proficiency in C++ and Python, with experience in embedded systems
- Strong understanding of change control processes, software auditing, and lifecycle management
- Experience with software design, development, and process management
- Knowledge of Agile Development, Software Compliance, Software Quality Assurance, Systems Engineering, Hardware-Software Integration
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Software Configuration Management, Software Risk Assessment, Software Standards Compliance, STIGs
Responsibilities
- Oversee embedded software development and ensure compliance with engineering and quality standards
- Participate in change control boards and evaluate software design changes for impact on hardware systems
- Conduct software audits and validation activities in collaboration with prime contractors
- Provide technical leadership and recommendations to engineering teams and stakeholders
- Support software lifecycle management, including documentation, testing, and process improvement
Other
- 5+ years of experience in software design, development, and process management
- Prior experience supporting DoD or military programs, ideally in missile or defense systems
- Active Top Secret clearance required
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred)
