Forterra is looking to solve the problem of deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting mission-critical systems in dynamic environments for the U.S. Department of Defense and other clients.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with sensor calibration, network configuration, and data collection methods.
- Understanding of Radio Frequency communication and software update procedures.
- Experience with JIRA or similar issue-tracking systems.
- Certifications in networking, system administration, or Radio Frequency communications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+, etc.).
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and troubleshoot complex systems in high-pressure scenarios.
- Experience with military, defense, or mission-critical operations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct Demo Operations, ensuring system functionality in real-world scenarios.
- Perform Hardware Troubleshooting and Software Troubleshooting to resolve technical issues.
- Execute calibration for system accuracy.
- Manage Run Site After Setup procedures, ensuring site readiness for operations.
- Support Data Collection and Pulling Data from various sources for analysis.
- Utilize JIRA for reporting and tracking general issues and bug tickets.
- Set up and troubleshoot communication devices.
Other
- Ability to work in dynamic environments and travel to field sites as needed.
- Travel up to 70% of the time to support field operations and mission deployments.
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field OR equivalent technical experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments.
