Boeing KC-46 Tanker Program is seeking to lead a newly formed Aircraft Defensive Systems and Lab Test & Integration Team to develop, test, and integrate enhanced mission systems upgrades for the US and international customers.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in an engineering management and/or lead position.
- Experience with Risk, Issue, and Opportunity management.
- Experience in FAA certification or airworthiness.
- Experience with avionics, computing, and/or data networks hardware.
- Experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) processes and implementing corrective actions.
- Experience working with and/or managing contractors, subcontractors, or suppliers.
- Knowledge and experience with avionics lab, ground, and flight qualification and/or certification testing.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, project management, and technical guidance to the engineering teams responsible for the system design/architecture, airworthiness certification, technical supplier management, production & fleet sustainment support, and RCCA investigations.
- Operate with a high level of integrity as the KC-46 Lab Information System Owner (ISO).
- Ensure high technical quality in the products and deliverables and champion continuous improvement.
- Execute on customer commitments to develop new mission systems capabilities.
- Control Account Manager (CAM) for the team; responsible for ensuring up to date staffing forecasts, proper employee charging, and that costs and schedules remain on plan.
- Support international customer campaigns and new business development proposals.
- Engineering management of the aircraft radar warning and countermeasures self-defensive systems as well as oversee the lab test and integration team for the entire Mission Systems Avionics and Software organizations.
