Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center is looking for a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care within their Labor & Delivery unit, aiming to ensure excellent patient-centered care for both mothers and babies, especially for high-risk pregnancies.
Requirements
- fetal and maternal monitoring equipment
- epidural and patient controlled analgesia administration
- NRP, ACLS, STABLE, Fetal Monitoring
- Must have and maintain Tennessee State RN license.
- CPR required.
Responsibilities
- providing care for patients utilizing fetal and maternal monitoring equipment
- managing the patient's pain including epidural and patient controlled analgesia administration
- Assist physician during delivery, treatment, examination and surgical procedures
- providing patient and family education on labor, pain and newborn care
- Completes nursing history and initiates patient education.
- Implements plan of care appropriate to diagnosis. Evaluates care outcomes.
- Demonstrates competence in performing critical skills (checklist) to include appropriate delivery of care according to the age-specific needs of the population served.
