Resideo is looking to ensure a high-quality user experience for their smart home mobile application by identifying bugs and verifying app functionality.
Requirements
- Familiarity with iOS and/or Android mobile platforms
- Basic understanding of software testing concepts (test cases, bugs, regression testing)
- Experience testing smart home or IoT devices
- Exposure to bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira)
- Knowledge of basic networking (Wi-Fi setup, Bluetooth pairing)
- Familiarity with test automation frameworks (Appium)
Responsibilities
- Execute manual test cases for mobile applications on both iOS and Android devices.
- Test app functionality related to smart home devices (e.g., device onboarding, connectivity, automation, notifications).
- Clearly document and report bugs.
- Perform regression testing to verify fixes and updates.
- Assist with setting up test environments, including smart devices and mobile test labs.
- Provide feedback on usability, performance, and overall user experience.

- Currently enrolled in a STEM degree program, related to Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or Mathematics
- Strong interest in mobile applications and technology
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
