IGNIS, the software product team within Bridger Aerospace, is looking to build and maintain the iOS components of their mapping and operational applications to support wildland fire operations and emergency management by leveraging technology and data to provide actionable insights.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Swift and the Xcode development environment.
- Experience integrating APIs and working with networked applications.
- Experience with mapping technologies (Mapbox, ArcGIS).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
- Knowledge of database technologies and backend integration.
- Familiarity with backend technologies (TypeScript, Python, or Go) is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain native iOS applications using Swift.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and launch new features.
- Ensure applications meet performance, reliability, and scalability standards.
- Proactively identify and resolve technical issues to enhance functionality.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code, following established best practices.
- Integrate APIs (REST, GraphQL, and/or gRPC) to support data-driven features.
- Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical planning.
Other
- 4+ years of experience in mobile software engineering, with a focus on iOS.
- Solid understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
- A love of the outdoors and a passion for building products that create real-world impact.
- Prior exposure to wildland firefighting, emergency response domains, or forestry.
