Tripadvisor is looking for an engineering lead to drive the strategic growth of their mobile apps, which are used by millions of travelers worldwide to plan and book trips.
Requirements
- A solid technical background, including at least 5 years of professional software development experience as an individual contributor.
- An interest in engineering management and the desire to grow into a leadership role managing a team of ~7 engineers.
- Leadership experience building iOS or Android apps and partnering with product management.
- At least 2 years of experience leading an engineering team to deliver exceptional business and technical results.
- Familiarity with architectural patterns of large-scale applications and services supporting them.
- Significant technical depth on iOS or Android.
- Experience with server driven UIs.
Responsibilities
- Participate in technical designs and ensure engineers are consistently following appropriate design principles.
- Mentor engineers up to the senior level.
- Take responsibility for the team’s output.
- Work with various stakeholders to define and influence product strategy, roadmaps, OKRs, and project execution.
- Exhibit sound judgment, such as when to reduce scope, who to hire, etc.
- Provide continuous feedback on how we can adapt our environment to help the organization evolve in a supportive, inclusive, and collaborative way.
