The Missile Defense Agency (MDA) needs to assess the capabilities of the Missile Defense System (MDS) through modeling and simulation activities within a Hardware-In-the-Loop (HWIL) environment. This role will support Continuous Developmental Integration (CDI), Ground Test (GT) events, and Flight Test support by developing, integrating, and troubleshooting simulation software.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python
- Familiarity with cloud computing concepts.
- Familiarity with Objective Simulation Framework (OSF) and HWIL architecture.
- Experience with Linux and Python data analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
- Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Demonstrated understanding of the Missile Defense System
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute Python scripts to support modeling and simulation activities within the HWIL environment.
- Integrate current and future software capabilities into the OSF Framework.
- Contribute to CDI activities, GT events, and Flight Test support.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to simulation performance and accuracy.
- Collaborate with a team of engineers and analysts to ensure the successful execution of simulation campaigns.
- Develop and implement data management plans for simulation data, including data storage, backup, and recovery procedures.
- Ensure data quality and integrity through data validation, cleansing, and transformation processes.

- Ability to obtain an secret level DoD clearance.
- Understanding of MDA Ground Test CONOPS.
- Strong communication, organizational, and technical writing skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a multi-team environment and manage multiple tasks.
