Xcel Energy is seeking candidates to support the Modeling Innovation and Strategy (MIS) team inside of Integrated System Planning (ISP) to create mid to long term transmission, generation, distribution and gas plans to help the company achieve its goals of a carbon free system by 2050
Requirements
- Experience with Python and/or other programming languages
- Experience with Databricks, SQL, Git, CI/CD
- Experience with machine learning algorithms
Responsibilities
- Work across teams to help identify improvements to modeling processes
- Assist in creation of automated data tools using Python
- Provide data collection, cleaning, and transformation to support data science efforts
- Utilize Databricks for various data projects
Other
- Current Graduate student pursuing a degree in data science, computer science, or related
- Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours a week)/ part time during the spring (up to 20 hours a week)
