Xcel Energy is seeking candidates to support the Modeling Innovation and Strategy (MIS) team inside of Integrated System Planning (ISP) to help achieve its goals of a carbon-free system by 2050
Requirements
- Experience with Python and/or other programming languages
- Experience with Databricks, SQL, Git, CI/CD
- Experience with machine learning algorithms
Responsibilities
- Work across teams to help identify improvements to modeling processes
- Assist in creation of automated data tools using Python
- Provide data collection, cleaning, and transformation to support data science efforts
- Utilize Databricks for various data projects
Other
- Current Graduate student pursuing a degree in data science, computer science, or related
- Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours a week)/ part time during the spring (up to 20 hours a week)
