Hanwha Qcells is looking to improve its solar photovoltaic (PV) solutions by implementing new materials and enhancing plant operations through continuous improvement methodologies.
Requirements
- Proven technical acumen.
- Ability to filter “Big Data” and interpret for data driven decision making.
- Experience with Process management with manufacturing process
- Extensive experience implementing new programs and data systems.
- Ability to utilize abstract reasoning techniques to build reporting logic and establish creative solutions to new problems.
- Ability to learn various software applications required for quality and performance reporting and analysis.
- The ability to work with ambiguous data sets and information, using people skills and intuition to navigate solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implements new Product and Materials.
- Project management related to new material management.
- Market research and competitor technology research on the materials.
- Develop engineering documentation: PFMEA, Control Plans, Work Instructions, etc.
- Initiates process improvement projects to increase efficiency, reduce costs, improve quality and defect analysis.
- Be the driver in investigating, proposing, procuring and launching new process and operations improvements (flexible automation and manual equipment) by developing specific metrics and conducting necessary audits.
- Develop troubleshooting guides for maintenance and operations personnel for line use. Train and deploy these in the plant.

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering related field.
- Able to stand and walk the production area throughout the workday
- Able to lift to 50 pounds without restriction
- Reaching, pushing, pulling, or lifting as required within limits set by Q Cells
- Ability to manage the projects and groups as a leader.
