Munich Re Specialty Global Markets North America (MRSGM N.A.) is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join us as we grow. As part of Munich Re Group, we are a unique organization providing expertise in specialty and marine lines of insurance as well as surety risks and customs bonds with in-house claims solutions. We are seeking a full time Regional Product Manager, Logistics Insurance to join the Roanoke Insurance Group division to be a hybrid employee in our New York, NY office reporting to the Regional Vice President.

- Above average computer skills, including Microsoft office and other software programs relevant to our business including, but not limited to, FastBond™, BIPS, Clarity/RTS Claims, OnBase and Epic
Responsibilities
- Handle marketing strategy and/or marketing of new and renewal business submissions.
- Ensure departmental accuracy and responsiveness to clients and producer requests.
- Follow quality control procedures and promptly correct any items uncovered by quality control audits.
- Adhere to underwriting guidelines and maintain positive underwriting results under the MRSL Marine Binder.
- Train and develop the department account managers and technicians.
- Maintain relationships with insurance markets and coordinate efforts as needed on agency contracts, profit sharing agreements and increased underwriting authority of the agency.
- Handle direct sales for house accounts and call-ins as appropriate.
Other
- Provide sales support for the production of new business and manage the servicing of key accounts assigned.
- Manage and lead the Logistics Insurance department with day to day activities:
- Prepare employee evaluations and recommend salary adjustments.
- Conduct cargo seminars and training for new clients, and existing clients as needed and/or requested.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and markets by participation in industry association events and conferences.
- Excellent customer service skills to explain and provide our products in a prompt and accurate fashion.
- Strong leadership skills.
- College degree or equivalent work experience
- 1-3 years Insurance, Logistics or equivalent industry experience
- P&C producer License required within 60 days of hire.
- Above average math skills to work with numbers and percentages.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to make decisions, problem solve and think on your feet.
- Proficiency with written and oral communication. Ability to provide information in a clear, concise manner with an appropriate level of detail, empathy and professionalism.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain workload in an orderly and accurate manner.
- Ability to build relationships and work as part of a team in a positive and professional manner.
- Ability to function effectively in a hybrid working environment.
